WW1 WW2 Spike & sten bayonet frog
This 1937 webbing Bayonet frog would have been similar to what a soldier would have worn in WW2, this Bayonet frog was designed to carry the long 1907 sword bayonet that was used on the No1 Lee Enfield Rifle
By the middle of the WW2 soldiers were fighting around the world, the deserts of North Africa, the hot jungle climate of Burma and the med but all would have been issued this same webbing set. If needed their khaki webbing was blancoed to the correct colour. Not all troops blancoed there webbing and many units in Europe and UK can be seen wearing natural coloured blancoed
